Product Details

This saree is  a magnificent Pure handloom Katan Banarasi saree with a classic, vibrant and contrast color combination.

Key features:

  • Color Combination: The body of the saree is a rich, lustrous golden orange or turmeric yellow, a traditional and auspicious color. This vibrant body is beautifully contrasted with deep forest green borders and pallu . This striking color pairing is a hallmark of many traditional Banarasi  weaves.
  • Fabric (Katan Silk): Pure handloom Katan Banarasi, the saree is woven from pure silk threads twisted together, resulting in a dense, durable, and remarkably lustrous fabric. The smooth, luxurious drape and natural sheen of the silk are clearly visible.
  • Zari Work and Motifs: The saree is extensively adorned with intricate zari work,  in gold  characteristic of Banarasi weaving.
    • Body Motifs: The main body of the saree features scattered circular or floral motifs (buttis) woven into the silk, possibly in a lighter, complementary shade or with subtle zari, adding depth to the rich orange.
    • Borders: The borders are wide and richly woven with elaborate zari patterns. These patterns are typical traditional Banarasi motifs, such as intricate floral vines (bel), stylized leaves, or classical temple designs, showcasing meticulous craftsmanship. A thin line of light color, possibly cream or beige, outlines the main green border, providing a delicate contrast.
    • Pallu: The pallu is particularly grand and heavily embellished. It features a rich expanse of the deep forest green, overlaid with dense and intricate zari weaving. The patterns on the pallu are highly detailed, creating a stunning visual impact. The end of the pallu is finished with tassels, adding to its traditional charm.
